Would you say you have a green thumb? Or are plants better off if someone else looks after them?

This is going to be a much shorter post probably than my posts usually are. Other than watering plants a few times during my life, and when I say a few, I really mean a few, I don’t think I’ve ever really done much with plants. I’ve never gone outside to plant anything. I’ve never been interested in anything related to gardening. It’s not just because of my wheelchair. If I wanted to, I could get out there in the grass and probably do everything required. I can roll a wheelchair through the grass when I want to. I’m just not much of an outdoorsy person, and I’m definitely not a planting person. I like plants. Obviously, they are essential to the existence of life. But plants are definitely better off if someone else looks after them. I most definitely do not have a green thumb.

Fortunately, I know a few people who do have a green thumb. And I can think of a couple of people off the top of my head that really enjoy that kind of thing. So if I ever want to experience gardening benefits, I just have to go find them. God makes all types of people, and we all develop different kinds of interests throughout our lives. It’s okay for some people to enjoy certain things and not others. Gardening and looking after plants just don’t happen to be things that I am particularly interested in. But I am thankful for the people that do have that interest because they are a blessing to the rest of us.
